Mary Kate – Creative Infrared Portrait Photography Rincon, Puerto Rico

SO after the fabulous Great Gatsby Photoshoot, Mary Kate and I decided to take a little time for ourselves.

This beautiful photo series was done at Maria’s a fabulous venue for Destination weddings in Rincon Puerto Rico. Mary Kate was the model for this photoshoot but was also the make up artist. She does incredible work for tv and film, check out some of her info here.

It was just starting to rain outside as we wrapped up the first shoot. The mix of the rain and wind along with the eerie effects of the infrared camera produced these pictures. Nothing better than pushing for more… even after a great photosession there is usually a little juice left to be squeezed. Often times some of the best pictures happen just before everyone is ready to quit. I’m happy we stuck around because the weather and the fantastic modeling made for exquisite photographs.

Infrared is great because sometimes it picks up on tones just below the surface of the skin, this is why in some of the images you can see veins.

My favorite image of the series, rain droplets falling on the surface of the pool and those piercing eyes and mysterious smile.
